Jim Henry from The Speedway Researcher used our 'Plus Points' column last week to appeal for information on Cambridge Speedway.
Roger Beaman came up trumps with a selection of newspaper clippings that will assist with the ongoing research into speedway's history.
First up was an advert from the Independent Press and Chronicle on Friday April 14th 1939.
A photograph from that advertised meeting appeared in the following week's edition (April 21st) as one of their "Pictures of the Week". Interestingly, the caption suggests the meeting took place on Easter Monday, which doesn't match up with the advert.
The Cambridge Daily Mail on 23/05/1939 included a photo of a crash taken at a recent meeting against Eastbourne.

Many thanks to Roger and Jim for sharing these with us.
