LONIGO PARCO IPPODROMO COMUNALE - Italy

This first Lonigo track situated in the town centre was used between 1947 and 1972 for solo and sidecar racing. Native Italian riders and a galaxy of International stars rode here including Plechanov, Trofimov, Fundin, Hofmeister, Wedin, Lantenhammer, Poschenrieder, Harryson, Briggs and Lindarw. New federal rules and other problems forced the club to move to their second home at Monticello di Fara. Returning to Lonigo was always their dream and in June 1977 the third and present track Santa Marina opened staging a World Pairs Semifinal.
