"After losing the World Championship to Tony Rickardsson last year, I knew I had to make
some tough decisions if I was to progress. And those decisions have paid off.
I changed my machinery, restructured the whole operation of the team and set some goals and
we have achieved the desired results. And to achieve the goals with two Grand Prix rounds
remaining makes it all that more satisfying."
"It was obviously disappointing to lose at home again and two weeks in a row now. It was an
outstanding meeting, the track again producing some very good racing, the conditions
probably caught out our riders a bit and wasn't what they were expecting.
Sheffield are a very good team, nicely balanced, that's why they are sitting second in the
league."
"We thoroughly deserved that win as the boys rode extremely well. Losing Mikael (Max) so early
on we were up against it but the boys battled hard and got the win.
Everyone did what was asked of them and I am just so pleased we have given the supporters
something to cheer about at last. I think as a team we can now push on and move off the
bottom of the table."
"The scoreline just doesn't reflect how close a lot of the races were. Even the King's Lynn
management and their supporters said it was one of the best meetings they had seen in a while."
"We put in a lot of effort and I can live with defeats when we go down fighting
But it just didn't go our way out there and Rye House made it very hard for us to pin them back."
"I did say to the lads before the meeting that I was looking forward to a comfortable win and getting the bonus point, but that we should all be on the ball and not take anything for granted.
What a good job we didn't, for with our skipper Krzysztof Stojanowski having a pretty mediocre meeting and reserve Nick Simmons only scoring one point from four rides, the rest of the boys had to pull out all the stops - and that they did."
"This year's Grand Prix Series is all over for me. I have had a terrible season, one I want to
quickly forget."
"We've had about 2 weeks off, but some of our riders have had regular outings elsewhere with
good success, yet tonight they couldn't raise their game to the level we need to win. I can't
explain it. I have no answers. One thing I do know is I'm far from satisfied."
"I hate the place and I hate seeing their team manager Alun Rossiter smile.
I much prefer it when he storms around ranting and raving and that is what he was doing for
most of the night. But it all changed in heat 14. If Swindon is our bogey track then that
is our bogey race. We were on the wrong end of a 5-1 at Coventry on Monday which ruined our
brilliant comeback and the same happened again."
