Dream Team : Phil Smith

Stoke Potters supporter since 1980 aged 7!

MogridgeCrabtree

Alan Mogridge
Brilliant racer, if he didn't make the gate you knew you were in for a treat. True speedway legend and Stoke's best ever according to their fan forum! Carried the team in 2005, unceremonously axed in 2006, won rider of year 3 times in 4 years, grand finale in his last ever meeting even though as a Comet!

Rob Lightfoot
What a talent, would have been world champion without a doubt if it weren't for a serious neck injury in early 82, British junior champion in 81.

Nigel Crabtree
Stoke legend, all time points scorer etc. etc. Was good to watch as much in the pits as on the track!!

Paul Pickering
Was the top Stoke rider in 2000 when I restarted to go to spedway after a hiatus in the 90's, suffered a bad arm injury at Hull in 2005, making a comeback in 2007, hope all goes well.

Rod North
Likeable Aussie who came on leaps and bounds in the injury plagued 1982 season, achieved an eight point average that year.

Jan Staechmann
This is in no particular order so Jan isn't a reserve! Big name attraction when he signed for Stoke, injury cut short his career in dubious circumstances, unbeatable around Loomer Road.

Mike Sampson
The skipper from 81 and legend in division two in the 70's. His career was on the decline when he arrived at Stoke, however was good to watch in 81.
