Lee Richardson Badges
By Steve Davies

After discussion with Gerald Richter and with the approval of the Richardson family I am going to produce a set of Lee Richardson badges to help raise some money for the family.

The badge design, will be a set of 4 badges, 2 gold and 2 silver. The design is intended to appeal to speedway supporters everywhere, not just fans of one particular club.

The cost of the badges will be £5 each or £20 for the set of all 4 badges. Postage costs will be free as I will pay all postage costs myself as my small contribution to the project. If we sell out all the badges that will realise a profit of £2000 to go into the fund.

My badge supplier Black Dragon have cut the production costs to a bare minimum in view of the money going to such a worthy cause, for which I would like to thank them.

Our initial run will consist of 125 of each badge, a total of 500 to go on general sale and it is anticipated that they should be ready to post out week commencing Monday August 6th.

Any badges unsold by mail order will be put on sale at the LEE RICHARDSON MEMORIAL meeting being planned later in the season so we are confident of a total sell out. It would be nice if we can sell out and need to order more for the meeting, making loads of money in the process.

Anyone who wants to order badges in advance can do so by contacting me:

Please make cheques payable to STEVE DAVIES and I will do the rest. I am sure the speedway family will support this most worthy cause.
