Dream Team : Clare Robertson

Cradley fan Clare Robertson selects her dream team.

Bruce Penhall
1981 and 1982 world champion and I was there, 10 years old at Wembley Stadium. 90,000 fans and an atmosphere that was electric!!!! The blond haired, blued eyed American that took the Cradley Heathens and the world by storm.

Erik Gundersen
Another Cradley favourite - won the world title and fought back valiently after his accident. A hero by any stretch of the imagination.

Jan O'Pederson
Yet another world champion rider from Cradley Heathens.

Billy Hamill
Another american who snatched the world crown AND rode for Cradley Heathens

Greg Hancock
Still another american who took the title and again rode for Cradley Heathens

Mark Loram
The pride of Britain taking the World Championship from Rickardsson.

Jason Crump
Last one featured on the list, but by no means the least. This is the man who will lift the world title this year.

My dream team is a tribute to the 26 years I have been a fan of speedway. The thrills, the spills and the sheer guts of each and every rider. If only the guys listed above could be racing for the same side in one meeting. What a fantastic evening of entertainment that would be.
