Who ? 
Veteran performer currently turning out for Conference League Boston.
 
Veteran eh, How old is he ? 
He'll be 46 in December (2001).
 
So he's been riding a long time then ? 
He started his career with Berwick in 1973 but he didn't ride at all between 1986 and 1998.
 
What was he doing in those 'missing' years ? 
He was building up his business. He only returned as a bit of a publicity stunt for old club Boston but enjoyed it so much that he's made a full time return.
 
So he used to race for Boston then ? 
Yes, he was a Barracuda, on and off, from 1974 to 1984.
 
Did he race for anyone else ? 
He also rode for Berwick, Edinburgh, Scunthorpe, Mildenhall, Wolves, King's Lynn and Coventry.
 
Was he any good ? 
On his day he was one of the best riders in the National League. Even now he's difficult to beat in the Conference League.
 
Any family connections with the sport ? 
His younger brother Nicky raced in the late Seventies. He never enjoyed any real success.
