Smolinksi
King

"Martin was tremendous, but I've had a lot of faith in him since the day I first spoke to him about joining Coventry. He's learning fast, he's getting Brandon weighed up and the fans love him."
Peter Oakes praises Martin Smolinksi after his efforts on Sky last night

"Danny (King) scored 20 out of 21 points in our first meeting against Rye House. He is very fast around Lynn and the problem with him being at reserve is the fact that they can use him up to seven times and in any races they wish to throughout the meeting. Edward Kennett is also on form and Chris Neath flies around here. As a counter action though we have Davey Watt in the team and most people know what he can do."
King's Lynn manager Rob Lyon looks forward to the visit of Rye House tomorrow night

"It was a brilliant meeting and I'm really pleased we put on a great show for the fans. There were always going to be some teething problems at the start of the season. We're determined to be successful so we tinkered with the team and the changes worked well. I'm always looking around to try and improve the team further, so there could be more changes in the future."
Scunthorpe manager Kenny Smith on their win over Rye House on Sunday

"Mads would not have ridden at Exeter so although we are disappointed that it was called off, it does mean that when we go down there Mads (Korneliussen) will be available."
Newport promoter Tim Stone - Not too unhappy that their meeting at Exeter was called off yesterday

"Six of our riders had at least one win or a paid win to their name and that's what we want with the league programme just two weeks away."
George English - pleased with Newcastle's win over Hull on Sunday

"Nick's been struggling a little bit, but he had Mike and 'Bomber' Harris with him in the pits last week. He needed a bit of a lift after having a couple of knocks. He had a good meeting, scored lots of points, but still ended up with a bent bike. He always rides well, but he's just not been gating. But if he can get out in front and get a few heat wins his confidence will come on. He's definitely quick enough to win races."
Graeme Gordon on Nick Simmons

"It was an excellent meeting, but I thought they were going to turn us over at one point. But we have come on strong in the later stages in meetings this season, and we did it again. Everybody contributed, we are still top and we must have sent our fans home happy."
Ian Thomas on last night's Aces v Eagles clash

"I can't praise Krzys highly enough for the effort he has put in this year and over the winter to improve. He trained really hard during the close season and has also taken more lessons to learn English. It shows his appetite for speedway and to impress for Poole is top class. It also shows me how Krzys is well on his way to reaching the pinnacle of world speedway."
Matt Ford is delighted with Krzysztof Kasprzak

"The bottom line is we needed to bring home three points from the weekend, and we've come down the A1 with only one. If we'd got three we'd have been in the driving seat. Now we've got to rely on other results going our way to try and sneak into the semi-finals via the back door."
Hull boss Dave Peet on their defeats at Berwick and Newcastle

"The loyal Lynn supporters and myself can no longer put up with the terrible away form that plagues us. I want a team that is more even home and away rather than just being a one-track band, so I will now be looking at team changes."
Buster Chapman after the Stars lost 59-34 at Rye House on Saturday

"It's bitterly disappointing and a little puzzling to be honest, because I thought we would have done a lot better. After the cup success over Poole this is a major disapointment because we also lost the aggregate bonus point which makes it a night to forget."
Alun Rossiter on the Robins defeat at Wolves

"When we go to Stoke on Saturday we weren't going to have James (Wright) in any case, because of his Under-21's commitments, so I didn't hesitate in booking Tony again. Tony rode for me when I was in charge at Stoke and has always said he would like a team place under my management again. He bases that on the belief that I know what motivates him and I can get the best out of him. He has never let me down yet and I thought he did very well for us against Sheffield. He knows Stoke really well so I'm hoping he can do another good job for us there on Saturday."
Graham Drury books Tony Atkin in for Loomer Road next Saturday
