Dream Team: Adrian Young

I supported Poole when they were in the National League as the Wildcats. I also have supported the Weymouth Wildcats.

Ermolenko Galvin

Craig Boyce
A great captain, great rider and a very determined character who always rode with his heart on his sleeve. He never quite won the world title, but he was a great Pirate. He deserves praise for all he has done for the sport in general and for the future generations of riders.

Leigh Adams
Absolutely great professional, the smoothest rider ever. Showed all the Aussies what to copy. Rode most tracks with ease. I wish him all the best. A clean and precise rider who knew the limits, it does not matter he never won a world individual title. He deserves the same respect and has made the sport a better place.

Hans Nielsen
The Tiger Woods of speedway. Kept himself in great shape and possessed all the talents in the world. Quick out of the gate, but could make up ground on everybody if need be. He showed everyone a clean pair of heels at times and knew when to peak in certain meetings. He was the yard stick for a while and achieved a lot in the sport.

Sam Ermolenko
Passionate rider who lived for the sport. Took on board a lot of injuries and kept going regardless. A dramatic style, with a never die attitude. He would put everything into his career and was Mr entertainment - there's only one of him.

Andy Galvin
Another great entertainer, had some bad injuries, rode for Hackney and had the world at his feet. Put everything into every race and had an all out around the boards style. He could have made it, sad he never did. Wish him all the best.

Alan Rivett
Remember him? Well he is still racing! Had the most perfect teeth and beach boy hair. All out attack style raced all over the track literally. Great rider for Exeter and characters like him make the sport a more interesting place.

Steve Schofield
Wow, great rider and the size of an ant! He was fantatsic and very underrated. He was a great Poole rider and had a great career. He had an immense amount of talent for such a small rider whether it was on grass or speedway.
