Assen 1976 By Robert J Rogers
As you are carrying Ice Speedway photos at the moment I though some of these may be of some Interest.
The ice racing final was a two day event, and the 1976 final was held at Assen in Holland.
I was there but at the time I only had a little camera without a zoom, so no close ups.
The place has not been invaded by garden gnomes, the yellow bobble hats were supplier by T-Mills Tours who did the trip from Britain, so the yellow hats are the British Supporters (Not certain why the Swedish riders are also wearing them).
I have mis-placed the programme, so no idea who the winner was.
Finally, if you think Ice racers are brave, what about those poor girls holding the flags, they are in miniskirts!
