Deadlock Clothing

Long time visitors may remember that Matt Davis photographs often featured prominently on this site a number of years ago. At the time he was a regular photographer at Oxfords track at Cowley Stadium. He subsequently took to the track himself, fulfilling a childhood dream in the process. Despite occasional appearances in 'Dragons' meetings hes now mainly concentrating on life on the safer side of the fence. His latest venture is into the rider merchandise business with 'Deadlock Clothing' the name of his new business.

The company produce branded hooded sweatshirts, polo shirts, caps and beanie hats amongst other products. The market they are entering is presently led by companies such as DC, Quiksilver and Fox.

Matt explains how the company came about:

"I also run another business, Four Seasons, which is a landscaping and garden maintenance business, I had predicted a tough winter, due to the recession and started applying for jobs in late October 2009 with no luck. I was looking for a job flexible enough to allow me to continue to work for my own business if required. As I was unable to find anything, I had a lot of time on my hands and plenty of time for creating business ideas. This is how Deadlock Clothing was born - It's a business I can run all year long alongside my landscaping business, and allows me to combine a hobby and passion of mine."

Matt is keen to stress that the company will also be pumping money into the sport:

"To date we are sponsoring Newport Wasps - Lee Geary - Max Clegg - Jamie Courtney - Nick Morris - Chris Kerr - Patrick Hougaard - Kyle Legault - Anders Rowe - Nick Simmons - Rhys Naylor for the 2010 season, with a few more names in the pipeline."

You can check out the clothing range and place your orders through http://www.deadlockclothing.co.uk/
