10 Seasons Up for Sim Speedway
By Al from Sim

After a very successful 9th season that finished in mid August 2009 we have just completed the new layout and design for the site and background information in preparation for Sim Speedway (http://www.simspeedway.co.uk) to start running its milestone TENTH season in providing online simulated speedway management and promotion, Sim Speedway is the game that gives it's managers one of the most realistic views in running a club in the methanol fumed two wheeled sport.

The main game itself has seen the rise from an idea over a cup of coffee to what has, in the managers own opinions became the best 'Simulation' speedway game available online. The transition over the last 8 years has been nothing short of startling.

The game runs on a 3 league main structure (Ultimate, Power & Academy) with a development league and second half structure at the bottom. The top 3 leagues have in each season, a K.O Cup, a Pairs tournament, a Fours tournament, a Three Team tournament and a riders championship as well as an 18 meeting league programme.

Other parts of the game include a World Championship series, a World u-21, a British u-18 and two European Championship Leagues that can see the introduction of foreign riders to the main game.

All this is provided for around one pound a week, a bargain £25 per season ! Unlike some speedway simulation games the fee covers EVERYTHING mentioned above - there is no charge for cup matches or friendlies, that has to be a very attractive deal to anyone that plays or has ever thought of online participation in a speedway simulation, especially in the current economic climate.

We now have active managers from all over the UK, from Aberdeen in Scotland down to Brighton on the south coast of England, then over to the west we have Aberavon in Wales then to the east we have Wisbech in Norfolk and an unprecedented FOUR teams in Suffolk - we really do cover the whole of the UK.

We are always looking for managers to be prepared to be on the shortlist and should managers drop out the managers on the shortlist are then introduced - this always adds new breath to the growing community. The only way into the game is via the shortlist, and it is strictly first come, first served.

The game has a very active forum over which managers have complete creative control as to what they put on to 'advertise' their club. Such things include recent results, stories, manager quotes, rider quotes and much much more.

As you can see this is a well structured game that provides a small insight into what real speedway promoters go through on a daily basis.

  • Ever thought your own clubs promoter wasn't doing things properly ?

  • Ever thought you could do better ?

Well, now is the chance for you to prove it and run your own team in Sim Speedway - can you REALLY do any better?? The chance is here for you to try, are you up to the challenge ? Then - what are you waiting for ?
