It's All About You....Anthony Williamson

Burrows Evans

Tell us about your introduction to speedway

My dad took me to Wimbledon when I was nine years old.

Tell us about your favourite meeting of all time

Very hard to remember just one that stands out, if I had to pick one it was whan Barrie Evans and Mark Burrows won the Conference League Best Pairs. Even if it was the 3rd division that night had everthing.

Tell us about your favourite rider of all time

It has to be Bobby Dugard. Never in the top rank, but great to watch. His front wheel was never on the floor. That's why his nickname was Bronco Bobby.

Tell us about your favourite track/stadium

It has to be Wimbledon. Before they made it shorter the racing was special. I also liked White City.

What are the best things about speedway?

As a youngster I would go to the pits for the smell. I also loved to get Autographs from the riders. There were not many that would not stop for a chat and let you take their photo.

What are the worst things about speedway?

When Wimbledon closed.

What one thing would you do to improve speedway?

Make it more family friendly. I am sorry to say Wimbledon's last few years seemed to just want your money without much given back in return.

Tell us about a rider you wish you'd seen

I would love to have seen more of Peter Craven.

What does the future hold for speedway?

I think as long as Sky keep showing it, it should be fine.
