Tell us about your introduction to speedway

At the age of 16 I went for a day out at Belle Vue zoo that's when I saw the speedway track.The week after I returned to watch the Aces and I'm still going today.

When the Russians came to Belle Vue in a test match.

 

Tell us about your favourite rider of all time

Dick Fisher in the 60s. Today Tai Woffinden.

 

Tell us about your favourite track/stadium

Hyde Road and The Shay at Halifax.

 

What are the best things about speedway?

The atmosphere.

 

What are the worst things about speedway?

Not enough races.

 

What one thing would you do to improve speedway?

We need to introduce more races.

 

Tell us about a rider you wish you'd seen

I saw Peter Craven in his last season, I would liked to have seen more of him. Such a brilliant rider.

 

What does the future hold for speedway?

I wish I knew!
