Nightmare Team : Ian Turvey

Have a look at my nightmare team for the Leicester Lions. Hope you enjoy

Bernd Odermatt
Who? I hear you cry. Exactly. This guy was a German bought over by Martin Rogers. Not 100% certain that he actually ever beat anybody. Reached his peak in a Interleague replay at home to (then) National League Oxford, taking 4 rides and scoring a sensational 0 points.

Les Leisk
Another forgotten gem from the Lions archive. Vic White brought this Aussie over on the basis of having some potential. Seemed to struggle to get round 4 laps without inspecting the safety fence. We're still holding our breath.

Phil Herne
Unbeatable around Blackbird Road, Until he signed for Leicester that is!!

Pepi Teromaa
Brother of Leicester legend Ila, and that is about where the similarities end. Posted a wonderful average of 0.47 which should tell you all you need to know.

Tom Godal
Norwegian sensation!! Managed to beat Michael Lee once.....and I think that's about it!!

Finn Jensen
In this team purely for him being so frustrating. Fantastic one minute, diabolical the next, the only predictable thing about him was that he would be unpredictable.

Adi Funk
He was Austrian, which should give you a clue to his capabilities. On holiday in Austria I noticed a firm called Funk Taxis......I wonder?? Hope he goes further in the cab than he did on the bike.

Some honourable mentions to Lars Ericsen, Greg Schzpanik (I think that is how you spell it) Tommy Pettersen, Doug Underwood & Chris Sully.
